Sanath Jayasuriya

Sanath Teran Jayasuriya (born 30 June 1969 in Matara) is a Sri Lankan cricketer. An all-rounder, he has been a member of the Sri Lankan cricket team since 1989. He is the only player in the world to score over 13,000 runs and capture over 300 wickets in ODIs. He is also regarded by many critics and supporters as one of the best ODI players to ever play the game.

Jayasuriya is part of the Mumbai Indians team in the Indian Premier League, and opens the batting with Sachin Tendulkar, another highly respected ODI batsman.
